getting to know you!

Summer at Summer's Story just did a "Getting To Know You" post which is hosted by Mann Land 5. I thought I would join in this week because I always love answering fun little questions!

Let the fun begin!!
1. What's your favorite Easter candy? Hmm, I wish I had a favorite. I'm not really big on sweets. I love Reese's though!

2. Who do you think is cleaner..men or women? This is really a toss up. At work the men's bathroom is always three times cleaner than women's. Yet when it comes to organization and keeping a clean house, I think women have it in the bag. Most anyways, unless you've seen hoarders or clean house with neicy nash(sp?)

3. Which do you prefer..wordy blog posts or ones with pictures? I love it when they have pictures. I feel like it makes it more personable. Whether it's pictures of the bloggers family or just something that they did that day. I feel like a picture is kind of a way to invite us into their lives. :)

4. Were you popular in highschool? It depends on which high school you are talking about. At BHS I wouldn't say I was popular but I was one of those girls who knew everyone and had at least a few things in common with everyone. I hung out with everyone from ghetto to goth and everyone far and between. At RHS on the other hand, unless eating your lunch in the bathroom and art room so you wouldn't have food thrown at you makes you popular, then i'm going to have to say I definately wasn't.

5. What's your bra size? I had always been a part of the IBTC (itty, bitty titty committee) until I got chubby. Now I strut my stuff in a B cup. Sometimes C, depending on the bra and fit.

6. How many states have you lived in? One. TN my whole life. But now my house is on the border of KY and TN. Considering my address is still a TN one, I'm going to stick with that I've only lived in one. :)

7. What's one blog you read every day? Addicted to Addison. lol, because i'm addicted to addicted to addison. (wordfull much? try to say it really fast ;] )

8. Peanut butter or Nutella? I've never had nutella, and I don't plan on it. Mom's choose Jiffy. :)

Me, Myself, & You!

Like the majority of people, I generally look at the weekends as a great opportunity for "date nights". I must say, this weekend I have one hell of a hot date. Me, a bottle of Huck blackberry wine, a few good movies, and well... you!

I watched The Ugly Truth tonight. It's too cute! I am a cry baby when it comes to a good love story. Maybe it's because I'm a hopeless romantic, I'm not really sure. Nevertheless it could be the wine, either way I really liked the movie.

Speakin' of the wine, it's absolutely AMAZING! I decided to branch out last night, take a step out of my comfort zone, and try another type of wine other than Pinot Grigio. It's called Huck and it comes in a few different flavors. I picked blackberry because the person at the liquor store said that everyone that turns to it never turns to any other kind and becomes addicted. I'm okay with that! Anyways, turns out, it's absolutely fabulous. It's alot better than pinot grigio (oh dear wine-o gods, please do not come down and strike me). Needless to say it's cheap, so to me it's a winner!

Tomorrow, or tonight depends on how you look at it, is time to SPRING forward!! Woopwoop! We all know about spring cleaning but considering I clean on a weekly basis, I'm going to switch it up a bit! I have a few things I want to sit down and thoroughly organize some of my spaces. I'm kind of excited about it, I already started a little bit by buying a cabootles kit to finally organize my massive amounts of makeup. Now I would like to organize my bathroom cabinets, my nightstand, and my basket drawers. My goal is to get them all completed by summertime. I know that's a huge stretch of time but considering I am a HUGE procrastinator it would be a pretty big accomplishment to get it completed in that allotted time. :)

Well I'm starting to get antsy so for now I'm going to get off here, The Ugly Truth just came on Starz again and I can't help but to watch Gerard Butler, mmm' I wanna sink my... okay SO! anyways... lol I'm going to go now. ;)

(I tried posting this last night, only to wake up this morning to find out that I didn't let it load all the way hehe.)

half full friday, half empty comments.

Ahhh, Friday! Most people get super excited for Friday, the weekend starts, the work stops...I on the otherhand almost DREAD Friday's! I work from 3-8 come straight home do what I need to get done and go straight to bed because I have to be up at 6AM on Saturday's. Blahhh, it's the only day of the week that I have to go in that early and it just so happens to fall on the first day of the weekend! Anyways, and so we move on!

Friday's are good for some things. Like Half Full Friday and other lovely bandwagons. I think I'll just roll with Half Full Friday today because it's starting to get late and I have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow!

I am HAPPY... that Finley (my fur baby) does not have a ear infection.
I am HAPPY... that I branched outside of drinking Pinot Grigio and tried a new wine. (it's called Huck in the flavor of Blackberry. soo good and cheappp!)
I am HAPPY... because signs of spring are starting to blossom! (hehe, gettt it?)
I am HAPPY... I got to have a play date with Jacob Riley today. :)
I am HAPPY... because I got to eat sushi this week.
I am HAPPY... most of all because I have an amazing family that is always keeping me in check and making sure that I am the best "me" that I can be.

That's all for tonight. I quit writing so much because I feel like I'm wasting time. I carry the name of a comment whore to the fullest. I make sure people know they are read and cared about, obviously my blog ain't up to par. Either way, I'll continue leaving comments and posting randomness. I prefer to have 0 comments then to have people commenting out of carelessness. I only want comments from people that do really enjoy reading. With that being said, I hope everyone had a good Friday!

I hope everybody's weekend has been good!
I know mine has been! Last night I got off work, blogged, and hit the sack. Not much of a Friday but I was still grateful for such a happy and pretty day. This morning I headed into work early at 6:30AM. I got a head start on prep and I actually finished 2hrs early!

I also talked to Cody for a little bit today. He's my exboyfriend that is currently serving his country by being in the army. [though we're no longer together and we have both had relationships since, we still keep in contact and are very good friends]. I took a nap and told him I would message him on yahoo as soon as I woke up which was around 2. I still haven't heard from him so I'm slightly worried. (if he wasn't currently overseas, I wouldn't be...). Anyways, hopefully I'll hear something sometime soon. Afterall, there's a HUGE time difference between here and there!

This is a picture of Cody & I at a Titans football game this past season.

you'll have to excuse our sweatiness, it was EXTREMELY hot!

Well that's all for tonight. I have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow, so I'll hopefully be able to catch up then! Goodnight & Sweetdreams, bloggers!

Half full friday/Show us your life

Well there are a couple of bandwagons I will be jumping on today. Eyegirl @Life As Eye See It hosts Half Full Friday, and KellysKorner hosts Show Us Your Life. I will be presenting them because I love them both too much to not join/just pick one. :] Call me a bandwagon whore! I'll take it with pride. hehe ;)

Show Us Your Life- What is your typical day like?

Okay, so my days are always changing up. Generally my work schedule stays the same but other than that, nothing is set in stone. Unlike most of the blogs I read, I'm single with no children... therefore, I don't have any set stuff. So I decided I would switch it up a bit... I documented my day today by taking pictures of the various things I did. So wah-lah!

I woke up and turned my swag on. and just like Ke$ha, I felt like P.Diddy

Just like I start EVERY morning: I then drank my coffee, smoked a few cigarettes, and proceeded to read the newspaper.

I then decided to knit a little bit while I finished my coffee and waited for Jacob to awake from his morning nap.

I decided last night to buy an organizer for my make-up so I finally organized all my make-up into one little box rather than it all being throw into a big make-up bag. Just like any diva, I naturally a SHIT TON of make-up. Sad obsession really.

I then decided to paint my nails because in the process of organizing my make-up I came across a pretty color that somehow ended up in my make-up bag... therefore I haven't seen it in a while hehe.

Jacob Riley finally woke up from his nap so of course I played with him for a little bit before he had to eat his lunch. I know, he's adorable. Hehe!

I then got ready to leave the house to run some errands

I went to the tanning bed because I have to get my divaness on! Plus I'm super pale and I'm getting ready for that summer tan! needless to say I got super burnt. I look like a tomato...I ONLY LAID 7 MINUTES! I don't exactly know what happened...

I went and picked up my co-worker because she previously wrecked her car and she needed a ride to work. We then jammed in the parking lot til it was time to get our work on! lol

I went to work then finally got off at 8:30PM :]

When I got off I took K home and then went home myself. Hung out with my mom for a little bit and now I'm here blogging before I go to sleep. :]

That was my typical day. A day filled with twists and turns. I never know what I'm going to be doing, just like I had no idea I would be taking K to and from work. Now, go visit Kelly's Korner and tell her I sent you. *MWAH*

quote of the week

I was just about to climb into bed when I decided to take a huge sip of water... I then got choked on it and spewed it all over my bed. [I'm AWESOME!] hehe.

Anyways. I've made ANOTHER change to my blog. Well, not so much a "change" but rather an "addition". Now at the bottom of my blog I have a quote of the week featured. I love different quotes so this should be exciting, at least for me anyways.

So this weeks quote is:
"Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself." -Harvey Fierstein

Let's elaborate! I have been in many situations where I have wanted to add my opinion to a conversation but felt like I was bullied into silence. Like "Oh, you're just a 21 year old who knows nothing about life". Well, maybe my opinion would have meant something to someone else in the group of conversation. So goal is to not be bullied into silence. Speak my mind. Add my opinions and stand up for what I believe in. :]

I have also been in many of situations where I was made out to be the victim, or I felt like the victim. Just this week another co-worker decided to tell my sister that I was talking "shit" about her (my sister) as well as my nephew. REALLY!? Um, no. In that situation I was the victim to her lies. Another instance: In high school the "popular" girls at the new school that I had just started attending decided it would be a fabulous idea to spread a rumor that I was a lesbian.[psh news to me! last time I checked I had a boyfriend at the time!] The outcome was either eating my lunch in a bathroom stall or getting croutons and bacon bits thrown at me by Mr. Baseball boys. One imparticularly, Andrew. I can't stand him even to this day. [afterall, who doesn't LOVE walking down the hallway with people yelling "DIKE!" behind you?!] Unfortunately, still to this day none of the girls have apologized. I have forgave them either way. Yet still I fell victim to the rumor. I wish I would have stood up for myself. On any other occasion I would have, yet I had just moved to a new town, a new school, and I didn't know anyone. I guess that called for an easy target for rumors and bullies. So don't fall victim. Stand up for yourself. Don't let people run over you, and for heaven's sake go eat your lunch in the cafeteria and show those bitches they don't mean shit to you! if only I knew this back then

Last but not least, the definition of my life. All day long people can try to define me but truly in the end not everyone knows the extent of layers to my being. I am a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a best friend. I am beautiful, crafty, religious, smart, ditzy, clumsy, creative, wierd, loud, shy, fun, exciting, and loving. I love to paint, knit, draw, color, and play with play dough. I enjoy reading, coffee dates, late nights, early breakfasts, doing laundry, playing with makeup, getting dressed up, watch movies that make me ball my eyes out, watching the stars, cuddling, drinking wine before bed, and taking naps. I have an obsession with shopping even if it's just for a tooth brush. I absolutely hate when my feet get wet unless I'm taking a shower or swimming. I've always been self conscious about my weight and I use to have an eating disorder and an obsession with working out. Then I realized no one is perfect and now I'm a cute chubby kid and proud of the skin that I'm in. I'm a 100% girly girl but I love getting dirty too (because real divas know how to get down!) I bite my finger nails and if I have a booger I'll pick it. The list could go on and on.

What are a few ways you can define yourself? Have you ever been made felt like the victim? Have you ever been bullied in to silence?
