TAG! You're it.

Yay for blog games! My friend, in RL and blogosphere, Amanda over at The Brandon and Amanda Story has tagged me in a little blog game.

The Rules:

1. You must post the rules
2. Post eleven fun facts about yourself on the blog post
3. Answer the questions the tagged set for you in their post, and then create eleven new questions to ask the people you've tagged.
4. Tag eleven people and link them on your post.
5. Let them know you've tagged them!

eleven facts:
1. I believe with no doubt in mind that Honey is my soulmate. I'm so fortunate to have him in my life.

2. I'm a list making freak. I probably make about 5-10 lists each week concerning different things. Inventory for work, grocery lists, to do lists, you name it, I list it.

3. God has blessed me with so much. A lot of the times I wonder why, then I remember because he's good like that.

4. I adore my family. My family is unusually close. We openly talk about things that many families don't. Honestly if all families were as close as mine I think the world would be a much better place: more love, less hate.

5. My nephew is my shining star. He showed me just how much I can love and has taught me things no one else has even though he's two. Maybe I'm bias but he's cutest two year old there is. Just saying hehe.

Who couldn't love that sweet baby face with bed head like that?

6. I'm highly addicted to The Sims. It started in fifth grade, and I'm still playing it. I've had the original game, the sims 2, and now the sims 3. All EP's and stuff packs. Nerd? I know. Proud of it. When The Sims 3 first came out I purchased it "preorder". I received it bought the limited edition along with the pricey playing guide. Scheduled off work, got up early AM to pick it up, only to get home and load it to my computer to realize my computer is not update enough. Two years later I still hadn't been able to play it and then Honey went out and bought me a new computer for Christmas and made sure that it had enough ghz just for the game. Now, it's on like donkey kong!

7. Ive had six car wrecks: rear ended my friend when I was 16, ran off the road and flipped 3 times in my Volkswagen bug, two involved mailboxes (seriously, don't ask), one time I was rear ended by an old guy who didn't pay attention, and my most recent (like I just got my car back today) was December 17th and a guy jumped out in front of my car on the interstate and committed suicide. I'm hoping thats my last one, seriously.

8. Diagnosed and treated for depression in 2005. I think it has a lot to do with me creating a blog. My physician gave me two options: therapy or a journal that he could checkup on every month. I went with a journal and I've found a passion for writing ever since.

9. I'm obsessed with organizing. I love all things organizational.

10. Don't send me to Walmart unless you have no hurry to retrieve the items you sent me for. I get distracted, I could browse for hours. Honey HATES this. (I love the school supplies aisle and craft section...I've learned to stay away. )

11. I'm naturally blonde hair blue eyed but I haven't been blonde since I was in middle school.

Amanda's questions, Diva's answers:
1. Your favorite DIY project you have done? And if you haven't done one, which one is on your to do list?
I haven't DIY'ed in a long time. But I would have to say I knitted a scarf and I love it. There's a TON of stuff on Pinterest that I want to tackle but I'm saving them for when Honey and I buy our house.
2. What's your favorite ap?
Sorry Amanda but my favorite what?!
3. When you log onto the internet, where is the first place you go?
Well normally I surf the web from my phone so I normally have a place I'm directly going. But my top two are blogger and google.
4. What's your favorite thing about the blogging world?
Seeing life from all different points of views. Reading about the views of different mothers on motherhood and just meeting people from all over the world.
5. Favorite vacation spot?
I wish I could do more vacationing/traveling but I don't. If I had to chose obviously Florida. I love the hot summer sun and sand between my toes.
6. Your favorite thing to cook? Will you share the recipe?
Of course! My easiest meal is chili.
1lb Ground beef (I use turkey for health purposes)
Large can of crushed tomatoes (I cant remember what oz but I think it's 16? ...)
McCormick chili packet
Kidney beans (optional, size is as well it just however much you want)

Brown meat. When finished add meat to a pot along with all other ingredients. I normally drain the kidney beans. If it's a little chunkier than desired add a touch of water. Simmer for 30minutes and serve.

The my most recent and favorite recipe is crockpot turkey lasagna. Recipe can be found Here but once again, ground turkey instead of beef.

7. When was the last time you did a good deed and what was it?
I try to do good deeds on a daily basis, no really I do. I guess I would have to say that I helped TRex, Honey's roommate do his laundry because he hadn't had much time to.
8. What's the best book you have read?
Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel will always be my favorite just because it helped me receive more in-depth insight regarding my depression. I also love the Ellen Hopkins series because of her poetic form of writing.
9. What's your go to bible verse?
Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
10. What's the last thing you purchased?
Gas. :-/
11. Who is your favorite Disney princess?
Cinderella! Duh she has little mice for friends and she sings with the birds. Do I need to bring up her good taste in glass slippers?

Your Turn!!
Venassa @ The Best Days
Boobies @ Boobies Babies and a Blog
Summer @ Summer's Story
Bailey @ Addicted to Addison
And Amanda, I'm tagging you back just because I want to see your answers hehe. You don't have to do the whole game again :)
Diva's questions, Your answers:
1. You have one night. What's your ideal way to spend the evening?
2. One movie you have watched more than a handful of times, why?
3. What's your go to blog? Ya know, the one you check almost daily?
4. Favorite brand name? Yes, you can only choose one...shoes, clothing, purses, scrap booking items...anything. Name one.
5. The day you realized what love is. Why? Who what when?
6. Favorite summer time activity? What about winter?
7. Number one thing you hate about weight loss/working out?
8. One day that you will never forget. When and why?
9. Tell me about your very first car. Do you still drive it? Why did you get rid of it?
10. Are you an introvert or extrovert? Elaborate a little.
11. Share one of your all time favorite pictures of you. Why is it your favorite?

Let me know if you join in :)

show me your...

GIVEAWAY! Dirty minds...

BWS tips button

Today I'm linking up with Boobies and Masshole Mommy for their Show Me Yours Sunday. A link up that features current giveaways being held. You can go there and peruse different giveaways or you can post yours to get more entries. Win/win situation.

Speaking of giveaway, I never set an "end date". The giveaway will end on February 29th at 12AM, yep...leap year baby. The winner will be announced within a week. If the winner does not claim prize within a week, another will be chosen.

It's been just another Sunday spent in DTown. This time we did things a little different. Instead of going to either of Honey's grandparents house we went to his sister's. She made spaghetti, nomnomnom! Then we headed to his parents house where unfortunately his mom had to work but his dad had some friends over playing guitar and whatnot in the basement. Nothing too terribly eventful which is kind of a relief because I haven't been up for too much excitement in my plans this weekend. I'm loving the laying low status right now ha! Honey took off to the gym so now I'm at home with loads of laundry, again. No one's home so it's kind of the perfect way to round off the weekend. Alone time. Quiet. Peaceful...I don't get much of that anymore. I'm off to go spend "me time" and by "me time" I mean I'm going to over indulge in The Sims 3- ever since I got my new computer I'm sure Kyle half-way feels single again (yeah right, he calls it my babysitter).

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

what I'm loving Wednesday

It has been quite some time since I last linked up with a bandwagon so I feel a little past due. With not much else on my mind other than that night I figure why not! So here I am linking up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm loving that there's only four days left till Christmas! That means only three days left till Honey and I switch presents! I love presents :) Eh hem, speaking of.. I'm loving that I already have all my shopping AND wrapping completed!! Score, boss!

At work we had a ballin' ass lunch along with a ballin' ass total for the entire day! Being that it's winter business comes to a halt so to see a big turn out is pretty darn exciting. I know, I may be too invested into work...

This morning I almost decided to forego weighing in. I've been super stressed and I skipped a day at the gym last week so I knew I had to have gained a pound(s) rather than losing. I grew some balls (don't worry they fell off shortly after) and weighed in. I've reached 11lbs lost!! Oh I'm loving it for sure!

Might I just add that I am loving my family and friends. Seriously, they are the effing best. I would be crazy if I thought otherwise.

So what are you loving?

trash the peas

I enjoy doing Mama Kat's weekly prompts but I don't do them on a weekly basis. I tend to have other things to post about or there's topics not really relating to myself/life ie. motherhood, kids, traveling...you get the gist. This week I'm going with...drum rollll please....

"your less favorite meal growing up"
Now I'm going to start this off by saying The Queen Bee is a beyond fabulous cook and baker. Being the spoiled blessed child that I was Queen always tried to incorporate something everyone at the dinner table was a fan of. So though I cannot choose a particular meal per se, I did decide to choose the new years day tradition that I fucking DESPISE!

Queen is a bit superstitious so every new years day you better believe she is shoveling a spoonful of black eyed peas on this pretty little mouth of mine! Yuckkkk!! It's suppose to guarantee you a good year but considering I've previously had some less than amazing years under my belt I don't believe in it AT ALL. And if that could get me out of the peas I would be more than grateful but it never works.

Any new years day traditions that you hate yet still take part in?

The challenge

Oh shocking, I haven't posted since Saturday! Don't worry I'm not going anywhere, I've just been busy and what not.

Nevertheless Monday I decided to take on a challenge, actually it was Friday of last week but I started on Monday. Back in February Summer over at Le Musings of Moi (super cute blog btw) introduced a challenge to take on. Though I initially planned to jump on the bandwagon I never did. Now not only am I jumpin on it but I also introduced it to my employees and we are all challenging myself. Talk about people to help hold you accountable! You can read more about this challenge here.

Day one of "21 Days to a Better You" is to give up something for 21 days ready for the shocker? I gave up coffee, and yes now I want it more than ever but I am committing! Day two was focused on kindness, which was yesterday, and it challenges you to do a random act of kindness for your family or friends. Bee has been having a rough time lately so I wrote her a note along with handing her a small present. I didn't stop there though. Last night I joined my mom on going to a Scentsy party which I actually ended up enjoying.

Then there's today. Today we are focusing on counting our blessings. Which is possibly a good thing since I didn't have the best of night last night which has carried over to this morning.

Check out the full list of challenges.

wine for babies

Oh hush, just keep reading.

So to say that yesterday was less than an ideal way to start off my week would definitely be an understatement. Today I've decided to turn that all around and besides going to work, I'm making this day about me. I treated myself to some wine, Pinot grigio to be exact. I love a good glass of wine but I don't drink frequently enough in my leisure time to actually finish a whole bottle. So to sum it up, I waste a tad more than half of a bottle. Today, however, I decided I was going to buy a bottle and I don't care if I throw all of it away but one sip! Lucky for me I came across baby bottles!

And no, I do not mean a bottle of wine for a baby lol. The bottle contains just enough for one glass of wine. You can buy them in sets of four and for someone like me, its perfect!

So I figured what better way to reflect my "me" day through my blog than to do a follow up on my FAQ's. In the post I asked for you all to ask me questions that I would later respond to. However due to my lack of popularity I only had one person ask me some questions but that's okay cause it's the lady behind the scene of one of my top five favorite blogs.

And so Venassa asks...

"What are some things you and Honey do for fun? Minus the obvious..."
Well, let's see...supposing that the 'obvious' is the bedroom boom, horizontal tango, or even the pants party then that takes away one of my favorites. Haha only kidding...kinda. Honey and I are a lot like old people. We live simple lives of work and home, but when we feel wild we will head to dinner and sometimes a movie. In the summertime we like to ride the Harley, go to bike rallies and what not. Other than that we spend our fun time entertaining each other.

"What were you like in high school?"
Oh geez, awesome?! Duh?! Um it really depends on what school you want to talk about. Of course I'm going to go with my hometown high school because high school here in C'ville was less than ideal. At BHS I was friends with literally everyone, popular girls, jocks, nerds, gothics, ghettos, um no seriously everyone. I won't classify myself as one of the popular crowd I was just kind of a person that was floating around and happy for the most part. I didn't stick with just one style of clothing. I dressed depending upon my mood for which I got a lot of shit for here in Clarksville yet in Hendersonville I had even heard someone say it was inspiring. So whatever here's a few pictures that document my random style.

Preppy with my polo on.

Flirty little sundress. Don't ask what I'm doing. Keyword high school.

Skater in my etnies tee. I'm sure it was paired with a studded belt and holed jeans.

No makeup chilling in a tee.

My thrifty goodwill tee and oversized jewelry? Cant go wrong!

Okay so moving on...

"What's your worst habit?"
Really Venassa?! Lol only kidding. I bite my nails which is less than ideal. Honey would probably say that my worst habit is me leaving my work cups all around the house and forgetting to trash them. Hehe, ever since he brought it to my attention I've worked on it, I will admit.

Okay that was oodles of fun ask me more! Haha. I'm off to catch up on responding to emails, reading blogs, and finishing up my scrumptious glass of wine.

Happy Tuesday :) oh wait is it too late for that? I mean it is kind of getting close to shutting tuesday down and all...oh well tomorrows hump day and I hope you do just that! Lots of humping :D

Diva's FAQ

So recently Venassa over at Live Your Life posted a FAQ blog. Recently I thought about doing this but really there was two different ways I wanted to go about posting this. However I've decided to combine the two. So here are some of my most FAQ about myself that I get on sometimes a daily, sometimes a weekly basis.

1. What kind of makeup do you use?
Answer: my foundation changes frequently being that A I don't want to spend money on the good stuff and B that I don't feel like waiting on shipping. For the most part I use MAC cosmetics foundation in Studio Fix. If I go with drug store I use Maybelline Fit Me, so far its the best I've come across that doesn't end up splotchy by noon. As far as eyeshadow goes, I'm a junky with a problem. But seriously, last Christmas I bought a collection palette from Sephora and I still cannot get enough of it.

I love it! It comes in a box and when you unfold it it just keeps unfolding magical goodness.

2. Are you wearing colored contacts?
Answer: negative, bitches this shit is all me! I have naturally blue eyes and when the sunlight hits them just right, they practically glow.

Above is a high school picture, blue eyes. Shocker. Below is now, still blue eyes!

3. Where do you get your hair done? How do you get it to stay so poofy? (I combined these two to git-r-dun.
Though the majority of readers aren't from here, I'll inform you I go to The Chameleon to get my hair done by this sweet woman named Brandy. And my poofiness?

That. That right there is how I get my poofiness. Fat Hair "0" Calories hair spray is by far the besttttt hair spray ever. To the left of the Sephora box, second bottle over from the right, is Big Sexy Hair What A Tease, backcomb in a bottle. I use to tease my hair all the time and unlike most people it isn't hard for me to get the tease out. However I do lose hair in the process and it thins your hair out. So I give to you the best alternative yet. Seriously the backcomb in a bottle is amazing. I load my hair up with it every morning. From left to right: Big Sexy Hair blow dry volumizing gel, great base for give your hair a little extra oomph. Fat Hair hairspray, previously mentioned. Fat Hair "0" Calories hair thickening creme. Definitely a product you have to go easy with because if not, your hair will be greasy as hell and kind of matted. Then it's the What A Tease by Big Sexy Hair. Following it in the little can is OSIS Thrill. This is for after your hair is blow dried you get a tiny pinch of it and rub it between your fingers and kind of style and place your hair exactly where you want it. So there you have it, my poof.

3. Are you married?
Answer: you know the answer, no not yet.

4. In reference to my clothes I'm constantly asked "where did you get that at?"
Answer: I'm cheap. So basically everywhere you probably haven't looked. To name a few, Walmart, Target, Goodwill, Rainbow, TJ Maxx, and Body Central. The last three are for when I decide to splurge. I'm not like a lot of women, I rather pay very little and get a whole lot than pay a whole lot and get very little. However, a purse is something you should never cheap yourself on!

5. In reference to my office space and work, a lot of times I get asked "who does all the pretty writing?" "who does all the organizing" "who labeled everything so nicely?" so on so forth...
Answer: the one and only, me. I get OCD. I love organization. And if everything is in an organized manner work seems to be conquered much more efficiently.

That's all I got for now. Just like Venassa said at the end of her post, nothing is too personal so feel free to ask me questions that I can answer in a later post :) also go check out that hot mommas blog. :-P

20 things you don't know

via google images

So I've decided for fun I'm going to post 20 things that chances are you don't know about me and in general most people don't. Let the oddness begin :)

1. I love classical music. I rarely listen to it because I'm never in the right setting but um, love it. Beethoven's Fur Elise will forever be my favorite. Such a classic.

2. I have a horrible habit of collecting water on my nightstand and beside my bed. Glasses of water. Bottle of water. It doesn't matter, it's there. Honey hates this...

3. Of all housework duties unloading the dishwasher is by far my least favorite. Seriously, I fucking hate it. Honey unloads, I wash by hand.

4. I have never once thought that roses smelt good, yet I somehow still love them.

5. I find happiness in picking at pimples and blackheads, gross I know.

6. I am constantly forgetting to eat. Its just not a top priority thus leads to weight gain. Sigh....

7. I have an obsession with eyeshadow, all things beauty really, but mainly eye shadows. I have literally ever color and still feel the need to buy more pallets.

8. I am constantly biting or picking at the skin around my nail beds. Awkward but its a nervous, anxious habit.

9. When I was sixteen my boyfriend bought me a teddybear. I ended up having an anxiety attack in my sleep and I ripped it's head off. I swear I'm not a violent person. I'm actually loving.

10. I have a two inch scar on my right arm from where I was little and I was at a friends house. She had a bull and she told me I could pet it and it wouldn't bite. Well I went to go pet it and it went to go lick me and it scared me and I ripped my arm open on the barbed wire fence. No worries, I keep up with my tetanus shots.

11. Speaking of tetanus shots, I may be the only 20+ something that stills keeps up with their tetanus shots simply because I'm so clumsy and I'm constantly cutting myself on something. I do not have a self mutilation problem

12. My feet look awkward in tennis shoes. No really, my dad even told me so. Irony: my work shoes have to be tennis shoes.

13. I've owned three vehicles. My first was a lime green volkwagen bug. It was precious until I rolled it across a road three time into a ditch. Squashed bug. Second I had a Honda CR-V, it got me from point a to point b. Not my favorite car. And now I drive a cute little Honda Element. Honey calls it The Box and everyone at work calls it The Brave Little Toaster. (it's a square and silver...I don't know, one girl started it and it caught on)

14. I've smoked cigarettes since I was a sophomore in high school.

15. I love digging in the dirt. Planting flowers and what not.

16. I may be 22 but I enjoy the shit out of knitting.

17. I love painting oils, acrylics, water color, whatever I loves it!

18. I've only had one job in my entire life. High school job, moved to college, moved back and I still work for the same boss, my dad.

19. Addicted to finding recipes, rarely try them :-/

20. I don't have any biological aunts.

Hope you enjoyed my random 20 facts :D leave a comment with something random about you! Or if you choose to post a link of your 20somethings!

A Date to Remember

So I'm pretty sure by now y'all know my love for some Mama Kat, and chances are I probably do not need to profess my love anymore. However, once again I'm joining in on her weekly writing prompts. This weeks prompt?

Describe a memorable first date

Y'all should already know what date I will be posting about. Hehe. Mine and Honey's first date! Many of our friends know how we actually met, yet many don't. For those of you who have been following me for quite some time now, y'all should know...but for those newbies I'll let y'all in.

Honey and I met on a dating website. I was kind of to a point in my life where I felt I was never going to find someone who fit me or my lifestyle and really there's no where in my town to meet singles except for bars...no thank you. So on a whim I decided why not. I never posted a profile picture because I didn't want to put myself out there and in all reality after the first message was sent, I never truly expected us to even meet. The more messages that were sent, the more interested I became. The day after we finally exchanged phone numbers my friend bailed on me and told me she couldn't go to the Titans game with me. Um hello?! I have season seats, I don't pass up games! I needed a date and fast whether it be friend or hottie! So what does my coworker tell me? Invite mystery man. Um what? Seriously? So I text one of the girls that sits beside me at the games and introduced the idea to her. After many texts were sent back and forth I realized she had a good point. I would be surrounded by people I know and if the date went bad he could call a cab. (ouch... Lol) So I text mystery man and asked if he would like to join me.

The end, Ha! Not. Any who so at first my invitation was denied. He apparently had some sort of birthday party to go to for a cousin. After talking to his roomie/best friend he ditched the birthday party and decided to come along. I started to instantly panic. Literally. I couldnt even stay still, I was trying to decorate a Christmas tree and kept dropping the ornaments. Its funny looking back now though.

So the big day comes and I take forever getting ready, running us behind a little. I went and picked him up...what? Hello I met him off the Internet, of course I'm driving so at least if he's a serial killer I can drive myself to my death destination. He got in the car and I got nervous as hell. He's gorgeous. Better looking than the pictures. Oh my god he's bald. Holy smokes! Nervous. We get to the game. After a few beers we both are at ease and I quickly realized that this is the fastest I have ever fallen for someone. He is everything I want. We talked through the entire game maybe catching a play or two. And there it was, our first kiss. Sparks flying, angels singing, I want him. Bad. Come to find out his best friends brother is married to my best friends sister. There are always parties being held at my best friends parents house. It just so happened the ones I went to he didn't and vice versa. Funny story...her mom has always called me her daughter and she has always called him her son. So how in the world did it take the internet for us to meet? I like to call it fate.

The day after our first date I professed to my sister that he is going to be the man I marry. I still hold true to that statement today, I love him more and more everyday. For me to ask God for a better man would be a slap in God's face. He is everything I've ever wanted and perfect for me.

But come on...y'all already know how bonkers I am for him :)

Summer 50

I've always found that when I have writers block or just lack of an amusing post, Moma Kat's writing prompts is a wonderful place to turn to. Needless to say, I have come across the majority of my favorite blogs through her as well. As always, with a lack of time, I will be joining in this week. Needless to say, I haven't forgot about my bike rally post nor the canoe trip...I've just been to busy to post something or anything detailed. With Honey being gone this weekend on a "boys trip" hopefully it will give me some sort of time to get a few things accomplished. Fingers crossed anyways.

So without further procrastination I give you my prompt:

3.) Create a bucket list of 50 things you want to do this summer (with or without the kids!)

Though I wasn't able to come up with all 50 at once, I will add to it as the summer progresses.
1. Go on a road trip
2. Attend a bike rally.
3. Experience something I never have before
4. Go on a boat.
5. Finish at least one book
6. Participate in some sort of water sport
7. Swim A LOT
8. Have at least 10 days of pure relaxation. Not in a row.
9. Travel to another state.
10. Get a bad ass tan
11. Keep Jacob overnight.
12. Attend jazz on the lawn at least twice
13. Get a facial
14. Get at least two pedicures
15. Keep stress to a minimum.
16. Take a vacation...just honey and I.
17. Attend at least 5 different movies
18. Clean my car completely out.
19. Participate in my first blog review.
20. Reach 80 followers
21. Go on a picnic.
22. Make a bucket list
23. Lose 15 more lbs.
24. ...

Yeah I couldn't even come up with half. Eek. It'll happen...eventually.

Till next time...;)

FMBT v.2 & ABCs

BWS tips button

I'm participating again in FMBT. If you're interested in finding some new good reads, as far as blogs go, I suggest you participate. Last week I came across several new blogs that definitely caught my interest and apparently mine peaked other because I gained 8 new followers. So in case you want to just whore your blog out, participating would be in your best interest...just saying!

Furthermore I've decided to do the ABCs of me in this post as well for those who do stop by. Enjoy :)

A. Age: 22

B. Bed size: Full. I plan on upgrading once I have my own place, of course.

C. Chore you dislike: Emptying the dishwasher.

D. Dogs: 2- Bootie and Finley. And for those of you who weren't around for the intro to my pups lemme explain how Bootie got his name. So we bought him and couldn't think of a name. We tried everything, nothing stuck. Well brilliantly enough, Destiny's Child came out with "Bootylicious" so we just kept telling him he was Bootylicious and it end up sticking, later being shortened to Bootie. Trust me, it fits him.

Crash

Ever since blogger had it's crashing moment I feel like I'm turned off by blogging. There were so many posts I had planned to do and now I don't even know which one to begin with. Maybe it also has to do with the fact that I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed. But nonetheless here's a list of upcoming posts I'm planning to do:

Award ceremony, if you will, I'll be giving away an award that was recently given to me.
My comic book boyfriend.
Blogger Superlatives
Introduction to SGS: Support Group Sunday, stick around it's not for alcoholics.
ABCs of me
And im sure there's more that I'm not thinking of right now.

Maybe one day I'll have enough time to type them out and make them scheduled. Or better, maybe tomorrow I'll feel like posting something worthy reading.

This blogger crash has really thrown me off track. Anyone feel me?

Ps. I'm beginning to think captcha or whatever its called when you type a weird word in in order to post a comment, is trying to tell me something. My last two were the words anerdd (a nerd?!) and schwaga (swagger?). So I'm guessing I'm a nerd with swagger. Word.

A second chance to live

So once again I'm taking part in Mama Kat's weekly writing prompts. I didn't really expect to take part two weeks in a row because normally I only ever so often see a prompt that piques my interest. However, I feel like this is a great opportunity to tell you about an event that took place in my life, shook things up a bit, and changed my view on life as a whole. The writing prompt?
Tell about your first car

So after arguing with myself, more of debating, on how I wanted to write this post, I decided that I would go back to the old MySpace account and copy and paste the blog that I had wrote about it. I'm sure it doesn't quite make sense right now about why this would be life altering but it will all make sense in the end.

This is the night i got my first car, it was a lime green Volkswagen bug that my grandmother gave me. Obviously I was thrilled as all get out. I though a random planned trip to Florida was just for fun, whe. We arrived my grandmother brought me into the garage and there it awaited with a huge red bow on it. I couldn't have been happier.

A year later...

from the MySpace blog... (italics are what I have edited in)
If you heard about my wreck, or you haven't heres the full story of what happend tonight. 9/11/05.

I was on my way to Jeremy's my high school sweet heart house when I passed an SUV. Our cars were a little close so I decided I would kinda turn my wheel a little to get away from it. well I overcorrected & lost control of my car, I started to panic I didn't know what to do. I tried turning the steering wheel, but all hope was lost... I was going to wreck.

The next thing I know my car lands on my side (the driver side) Then bounced to the roof (meaning the car was upside down) then rolling to the passengers side, then rolling back to being upside down. The car finally stopped, I freaked. I knew I had to get out of it before it blew up. I didn't care about my cell phone or anything. I could have cared less. So I finally got my door opened and I crawled out of the car. I couldn't stand up so I crawled to the pavement. Luckily the SUV that I was passing saw it happen. [somehow?] So about 3-10 cars stopped. Getting out to help. By the time i figured out what was going on everyone was on the phone calling an ambulance & all that.

I looked at the lady in the green shirt, I was scared to death. All i wanted was a hug. I told her. So we hugged. Thank goodness someone was there to help. So eventually I sat down on the pavement. Called my parents, got yelled at, hung up on them, and sat in shock. I couldn't speak. I just wanted to be left alone. I looked back at my car & all you could see was this cute lil green bug flipped over with smoke exiting all four windows & the back.

The paramedics & everyone finally got there. My dad got there and yelled at me. Then Bret my very first boyfriend, I just so happened to crash right in front of his house...ironic right? & his dad came out. Thankfully they left cause I didn't want to be seen, I didn't want a crowd. So they put me in a neck brace because my neck was hurting. Then they put me on a bored & strapped me in. It hurt because my legs & arms were killing me.

So they finally put me into the ambulance because I was in shock. As they shut the doors, I finally started to cry. Patrick, the paramedic, asked me what was wrong. I told him that all I wanted was for my daddy to tell me he loved me and that he was glad I was okay. He grabbed my hand and assured me that he cared. I started crying harder. The finally hooked me up to everything and talked to me about my information. The information that I had already had to say 3 times before ever even getting in the ambulance.

I finally arrived at the hospital. They placed in a room, hooking me up to all this machinery. My back, spleen, & left hip were hurting. The back pain was hidious though. So they decided to do x-rays.

The doctor, cop, & nurse, & some weird lady came in and asked me all the same questions. "What's your name, address, ssc, age, were u wearing ur seat belt, etc." I finally got frusterated & made my parents answer all the questions.

I started crying all I could murmur was "I'm sorry." "I Love you" "Happy Anniversary" it just happens that it was my parents anniversary & "Please don't be mad" That's it. Besides that I was in shock, staring at the wall, not wanting anyone to touch me and just leave me alone to die in that tan colored room with a hidious trim border.

Then a nurse came in saying that there was someone here to see me. After wanting to talk to jeremy so long, here he came walking through my hospital door, crying as well. He's all I wanted to see. That is what calmed me down, taht is what dried my tears, that is what quit my legs from shaking in fear, and that is what made me know that from here on out, i want to be with him forever. obviously in high school. I didn't know what love was at the time, but as all teenagers I thought I knew everything.

After meeting his parents, I was actually on my way to his house to meet his parents for the first time. holding his hand, and closing my eyes praying... forty minutes later i was rolled away to get x-rays and stuff. Turns out everything was okay. After be poked and jerked and transferred and replaced everywhere... turns out, i'm fine. Just bumps and bruises, scratches & skins.

Now they've put me on two medications to keep my muscles relaxed and ot keep me calm. So i suppose i'll get off here. Cos they're kicking in. So theres the story on what happend tonight.
I'm the only loser who would actually get online and post their tragedy.

But i'm thankful that God was at the scene holding my hand as well at the hospital and on the car ride home. Never forget to tell your parents you love them. No matter how mad you are at them, once they're gone... you'll realize what all they truly do for you.

Never forget to tell you friends you love them & what they mean to you. You never know when you're last pillow fight will be. When you're last telephone call will end; When your last giggle & laughter will be. Never take them for granted.

...end post

Jeremy had went looking for me because I wasn't answering my phone and it scared him. He came across my car and seeing that it was totaled he thought I was as well. He drove back to his house to tell his parents he was going to the ER to see me and since he was such a wreck they wouldn't let him drive so they drove him. At the time I thought that I could take some pain pills and be brand new later. I didn't know that I would be twenty two and have issues with my knees and have horrible back pains.

This changed my life because I realized that in a blink of an eye, everything can change. Instantly. No turning back. Through this experience I learned to love more and love more often. Though I wish I still had my bug, as well as be able to do a sit-up without intense discomfort in my lower back, I would t trade this experience for anything. I had a key chain on my keys that said "lease drive safely" dangling from it was three little charms: a little bug, a guardian angel, and a car key. After the wreck was all said and done and keys were returned the only charm left was the guardian angel. I should have died in that wreck. Anyone who saw the car would have thought there was no possible way that I could have even thought of walking away from it let alone actually doing so. Still to this day I thank God for my second chance. A second chance to breath, love, live, and experience life all together.

And that was my first car.

We Want To Know Wednesday!!

I haven't had anything to really write about, maybe it's considered writers block. Who knows, either way I'm taking part in another bandwagon, I guess you can call this bandwagon week...learn to love it because tomorrow will be another. Make sure you check tomorrows post though, it's kind of an event in my life that I hold close to my heart. A true learning experience and wake up call, if you will. But on to the point in hand...

3.What is your favorite piece of jewelry that you own?
4.What is your driving pet peeve(s)?
5.What was your favorite sitcom growing up that you wish was still on?
Answers
1. what game show have you always thought you could be on and totally win?
who wants to be a millionaire of course! ...yeah...right...
Probably press your luck. Anyone remember it? Maybe I'm old school.

2. Do you have a tattoo? What are they and what made you choose them?

That's not a very accurate picture, but I started out with 2 stars on my hip bones. Just the outlines at first but later I got them filled in to be nautical stars. The nautical part is pink and black and they have lime green lines through it. I'm actually in desperate need of a touch up but yeah.

I picked it because I had always wanted it. No real reason behind it actually and yes, I plan on getting more eventually.

3. What is your favorite piece of jewelry that you own?
Well I would have to say the ring my grandmother gave me when I was a teenie bopper. Yes, I just used that phrase lol. Its a gold band with rubies and diamonds on it. I've always kept up with it and now that it doesn't fit,it's on my key ring.

4. What is your driving pet peeve?
Ha! Funny question to ask someone with horrible road rage. My worst peeve though is when someone pulls out in front of me and then chooses to go 5-10 miles under the speed limit. Oh and I hate getting behind someone with Kentucky tag. Sorry I'm being a "hater" but they seriously cannot drive.

5.What was your favorite sitcom growing up that you wish was still on?
That's a really tough question to ask someone didn't really watch TV. However if I had a gun put to my head and HAD to answer, I would have to pick two.

Will & Grace and The Nanny

What a bandwagoner!

So I don't go into work until 10am so I have been sitting around trying to think up something that I wanted to post about. Normally my posts come from something that happened through the day, ie freaking bitch yesterday. So I decided to scramble around other blogs in hopes that it would trigger something to fill the blank post that was waiting for me to fill with useless nonsense. Little did I know, overnight I had gained two followers, welcomes to you, so of course I'm going to go check these new stalkers of mine out! Upon my "stalk-back" I decided to copy Steve, my new follower, fromSteve's Nude Memphis Blog by doing a meme, or whatever you wanna call it. Thanks Nudie Steve. Before I start, I have to add that I thought I got to be a word whore when it comes to posting, but Steve is one wordy guy! Check him out, he's got quite a bit to say...and it's pretty fucking humorous.

Now, to the task at hand...

Be honest, who texted you last

The guy I'm dating, K.

Do you sleep with the door open or closed?

I sleep naked so whether it be in my bed or K's the door is shut. I don't want my parents nor his room mate getting an eyeful.

Do you drink tea?

Only if the shit is sweet. I'm from the south, we serve that sweet stuff.

Do you have plans for tomorrow?

Yep. I first have to go get my oil changed in my car, then go get the oil changed in my vagina. What? I'm talking about my gynecologist appointment of course.

What’s worse: dry skin or chapped lips?

Chapped lips. Because if they end up cracking you have to wait for the shit to heal, dry skin you can just apply moisturizer and wahlah!

Would you be surprised if your parents had another baby together?

Considering my moms tubes are tied, she's had a hysterectomy, and my dads cods got snipped...yeah I would be freaked out.

Would you rather go to Canada or California on vacation?

California. I hate cold weather and I feel like I could be more entertained in Cali. But wait, what parts are we talking bout here?

Do you want to get married?

If the time and the man is right, yes.

Are you wearing jeans, shorts, sweatpants or pajama pants?

I'm kicking it in my work jeans.

So, what if you married the last person you texted?

Um, well, that's kind of putting me on the spot isn't it? It's too soon to be talking about all that.

Last person you told a secret to?

See question #1.
same answer.

What are you listening to at the moment?

The Today Show, but I'm not really listening to it it's just background noise.

Where was the last place you fell asleep other than your bed?

Other than my bed? k's bed. Other than a bed at all? My couch.

Is there someone that you believe you will always be attached to?

My family, I can change the blood I bleed. But maybe thats not the question...

Are relationships ever really worth it?

I believe every relationship happens for a reason. The majority of the time I learn something about myself or I learn something that I want in my future mate that the last one didn't have. Are the tears and heartache worth it? No, easier said then done, but every time one story ends another unfolds.

Do you believe in love?

Meet my parents, hear their story, and tell me how you couldn't believe in love.

When was the last time you saw your father?

Last night when he went to tell me goodnight before he went to bed.

Have any memories that you’d like to forget?

Who doesn't.

Is there someone you really like to hang out with and just talk about stuff?’

S and L. We meet at Starbucks for pointless, meaningless, random conversation.

Have you ever been called prince or princess?

Actually yes.

Do you think teenagers can be in love?

See question: "do you believe in love"

How fast does your mood change?

Depends, menstruating or not? ha!

How are you feeling?

Minus this sinusitis shit, fucking fabulous.

Do you want someone to call you right now?

I don't want someone to call me. But I don't don't want someone calling neither.

What do you always take with you?

My iphone is pretty much always glued to my fat ass.

Is your bed comfortable?

Like a freaking fluffy cloud.

Would you say you’re an understanding person?

I try to be. Sometimes my hardheadedness doesn't let me be.

Are you generally a happy person?

Pretty much. Unless drama pops up then I get pretty pissy.

Who’s in your profile picture with you?

Wait, what profile picture? Blogger, Facebook, myspace? You need to be more specific here...

Were you single on Valentines Day?

Always have been since 2007. What's up!

What is the last movie you watched?

The Dilemma with K. That shit was funny.

Do you listen to songs when you’re done?

Done doing what? What the hell...

How long does it take you to fall asleep at night?

It depends on the circumstances. If I just finished having sex, immediately...if I took cough syrup, immediately...if I worked, had a rough day, or have a lot of my mind because of work.....I'll be lucky if I get sleep at all.

Are you talkative?

Depends. Is alcohol involved? Do I know the people I'm suppose to be talking to?

Were you single last summer?

Yeah. I had my occasional bitches.

I hope y'all enjoyed. Hopefully tomorrow I can open a can of whoop ass on writer's block and defeat it once and for all.

Not me! Monday.

Mckmama- Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

It's been a while since I found out about this little weekly theme, however I've never joined in. I question if anyone does it anymore and if it's still relevant, however today when I was driving to work I kept thinking all sorts of not me's. So without further adieu…

I didn't almost pack up my shit and turn around and leave work this morning within the first 10 minutes of me being their due to stupidity and laziness of my coworkers, no not me.

I didn't almost slam a door off the hinges due to anger and frustrations this morning, no...not me.

K and I didn't have mind blowing sex yesterday that led to the purchase of an emergency contraceptive due to an "oops" ending. And I most definitely didn't race over to his place to have another "oops" moment before taking the EC to get my moneys worth, no not me.

I definitely did not skip going to the gym today. And I definitely did NOT have a fattening slice of pizza for dinner, oh definitely not me!

I definitely did not whine to my coworker for almost an hour this morning, no not me.

I didn't inappropriately post about the argument agitative state of mind I was in toward K yesterday. Ha, no not this Diva!

Me? The Diva Bee? Do these things? No, not me.
